As newfound empty nesters, Carolyn and her husband chose to downsize, purchasing a 1934 bungalow in Marin County. Eager to maintain the home’s vintage charm but update it for the 21st century dweller, Carolyn made strategic decisions. These included adding new hardwood floors and a butcher block prep island, which transformed a 1970s kitchen into a contemporary cooking nook. Other statement features include: Yellow grasscloth wallpaper by Thibaut, a canopy bed, and a vintage living room side table sourced from Chairish.
