isabel, our newest baby!

Along with the unveiling of my new logo/rebrand, I’m excited to introduce my latest fabric pattern ISABEL, under my own line Workroom C Fabrics. It’s an intricate, hand-drawn, playful pattern inspired by the Workroom C logo.

In case you aren't familiar with my textiles—or how I got started—Workroom C came about one day when I was on the hunt for the “perfect navy” pattern.

I searched everywhere, exhausting entire showrooms and lines—Kravet, Jim Thompson, Duralee, China Seas, Romo, Tilton Fenwick, John Robshaw, Caitlin Wilson, Coco Cozy and a slew of other vendors.  And I kept finding a great pattern in the wrong color or a wonderful color but the pattern was not quite right --the endless quest of the interior designer. My solution? Design one of my own.

In fact, I built an entire set of colors around my shade of perfect navy in the color set. Then I started playing with designs and colors and eventually developed a set of patterns that could be printed on demand, in one-yard increments, with repeats that could make a 20” square pillow out of ONE yard of fabric, answering my own needs as a designer.

Creating my own line of fabrics is a dream. It allows for me to design custom patterns and fabrics for my clients in any color, in a way that completely satisfies their needs and wants AND my own design aesthetic. We spend so much time with the day-to-day details of design and creativity gets lost in the shuffle. Generating new textile patterns is a very pure outlet of design for me.
